I am currently doing some research in the field of Dual Energy X-ray technology and trying to identify the benefits of the technology and possible new applications fields (besides medicine, food inspection, mining and baggage security) for it.

To gain more insights, I would like to ask 2 questions:

1. If you had to name 3 benefits the technology can offer, which ones would they be?
2. If money was of no concern, what would you do with the technology? How would you further develop it? What fields would you go into?

Non-invasive & fast procedure for
i. The identification and distinction of materials
ii. Measurement of materials density, weight, and volume

I think might be able to use the technology, to identify different materials in the automotive industry.
