Dear Kalus,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am currently working on the implementation of the ASTM E2737-2023 standard and have encountered a question regarding Section 7.2 "Procedure for Measurement of the Offset Level" that I hope you might kindly clarify.

In this section, it is stated that:

Quote:
Before measurement of the Offset Level, the DDA should be powered-on and not exposed for approximately ten minutes. One image with 30 s acquisition time (for example 1 s frames and averaging all 30 frames) shall be captured without radiation (Offset Image).

I would like to confirm whether the 30-second acquisition time is a strict requirement, or if it is acceptable to deviate slightly from this duration. For example, would it be compliant to acquire 32 frames at 1 frame per second (totaling 32 seconds), or must the total acquisition time be exactly 30 seconds?

Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Colin
